In an industry where women are underrepresented, the annual awards event, organised by the Womens Utilities Network, shines a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of women who are inspiring change across the utilities sector.
Julia Hinton, Head of Risk and Governance at Hydrosave, has been shortlisted in the category of Business Champion (Utility), which celebrates the pivotal work that essential roles do to keep utility services running smoothly.
Julia, who has worked within the water sector for 34 years, was shortlisted for her professional aptitude and resolute leadership skills. Her positive impact and important work have seen her succeed in many achievements such as the delivery of a £6m high profile water leakage framework, the implementation of an Institute of Leadership development programme and the leadership of Hydrosave’s equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) agenda.
Julia commented: “I am very grateful for the nomination. This recognition from my colleagues at Hydrosave reflects the collective effort of so many inspiring individuals and role models I’ve had the privilege to work alongside. I am very grateful for the continued support from a company who puts values at the heart of everything they do.”
Andrew Lobley, Managing Director at Hydrosave, commented: “Julia is just fantastic! Having only joined Hydrosave within the last six months it was immediately clear to me just how critical she is to our business. Always enthusiastic, passionate and ethically driven, Julia delivers a positive impact to everything she touches. We are incredibly lucky to have her and she thoroughly deserves this industry recognition among some incredible women. I look forward to celebrating with Julia and the other nominees at the awards ceremony in June. Good luck Julia!”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 27 June at the Royal Lancaster in London.
