Hydrosave were requested to provide skilled operatives to undertake Southern Waters planned mains cleansing programme. The programme included the periodic cleansing of x85 DMAs by flushing at predetermined volumes and flow rates whilst monitoring both chlorine and turbidity levels. Once the required velocities where achieved and turbidity levels were within the appropriate target network standards (TNS) the work concluded with a chemical sampling regime.
Challenges
Managing customer impacts and interest, validating system connectivity and valve status, controlling volumetric water discharge and dechlorination.
